TJM Darwin has moved to corner the markets for vehicle fabrication needs in the Northern Territory’s mining and cattle farming sectors.
The 4×4 accessories retailer has just inked a deal making them the exclusive agent for Rydweld Motorbody Builders in the Northern Territory and top end of Western Australia.
TJM’s Group Operations Manager for the NT, Dean Cummings said Rydweld’s products appealed directly to a niche market for heavy duty bullbars and trays.
“TJM had already seen a number of vehicles come through the workshop fitted with Rydweld gear before they approached us; they seem to have a strong reputation,” said Mr Cummings
“While the products won’t be everyone’s cup of tea, Rydweld gear is certainly a popular choice for people on outback properties and in mining companies.
“The brand fits well with what TJM does and where we’re headed and I’m looking forward to spreading awareness further across the top end as we seek to better service the remote areas Rydweld’s products are well suited to,” Mr Cummings said.
Rydweld, started by brothers Geoff and Steven Ryder in Julia Creek in 1994, has a long and proud history of servicing Queensland’s west.
Steven Ryder said they looked forward to extending their reach into the top end.
“Our team has always enjoyed designing and building products to withstand a hard day’s work and northern Australia’s tough environmental conditions,” Mr Ryder said.
“TJM is a great match for us and the whole Rydweld team looks forward to working with them to meet the needs of the NT’s mining companies, property owners and 4WD enthusiasts.”
