When brothers Geoff and Steve Ryder began building tray bodies in their parents’ shed in the early 90s, they had no idea that the ‘Ryder’ trademark would spread across Queensland and over the borders so quickly.
It wasn’t long before the pair moved from their makeshift workshop in their parents shed in Julia Creek to the current location in Townsville. With the move, came an increased manufacturing capability, a streamlined operation, a skilled and professional team and an ever-growing customer base.
Today, Rydweld is proud to design, build and fit custom trays, bullbars, siderails, toolboxes, canopies and more. Their customers range from weekend warriors looking to make the most of the outdoor lifestyle, to tradies in need of a place for every tool and corporate customers seeking fleet uniformity and compliance with their duty of care obligations.
With an ever-growing network of agents and dealers, the Ryder trademark can now be found right across Australia.
After all this time, Steve, Geoff and the Rydweld team continue to be motivated by the same driver that spurred them to start Rydweld decades ago – a passion to build ‘what the customer wants’.
